Verónica y Gabriel Wedding

Date: August 2014     ·     Category:  Summer Wedding    ·    Photography: Alfonso Azaustre    ·    Place: Granada

We had known Verónica and Gabriel for more than one year. Verónica received his bridal bouquet from his aunt Mar and it kept that “One wedding leads to another”. So when Verónica and Grabriel asked me to be in charge of all preparations it was a real honor and a joy, because they had witnessed our work at the wedding of Mar and José, so it was a double satisfaction.

However, we never lower the guard, and although it was a service of Wedding Designer & Planner at a venue that we already knew, the proposal was completely different.

Verónica and Gabriel wanted a summer wedding, in the middle of August, at sunset, and entirely outdoors. It was the first time Hotel Santos Saray celebrated a full wedding (ceremony, cocktail party and banquet) in their garden, so we had an interesting challenge ahead, both from logistics and design points of view, since that place has its own decorative style.

Verónica and Gabriel wanted a modern design, close to chill-out style, with plenty of light and flowers in warm color shades. The reference they gave us was: candles and large daisies.

The result was a fresh and romantic summer wedding.

The search for the place was something that Verónica and Grabriel had clear. Verónica had always liked Hotel Santos Saray and was sure that it was the place where she imagined her wedding. However, they wanted an outdoors wedding, from the ceremony to dinner, in the garden, with Arab-style fountains and the background noise of the water.

The wedding day the sun shone and the heat was unbearable, as usually is in the month of August in Granada. The entire team made a great effort on the assembly which was distributed in three areas: ceremony in the grass, poolside cocktail and dinner under the garden pergolas. A sunset outdoors wedding which released a lot of charm and romanticism.

The ceremony was officiated by José, the bride’s uncle in-law, who made them a tailored ceremony, with a beautiful Celtic ritual of hands (handfasting) and written votes customized for them.

Hotel Santos Saray was in charge of the catering with an exquisite traditional menu that culminated with the cutting of the wedding cake. The cake was a precious creation of Tarta& Arte presented in four white layers, with pearls and daisies following the same wedding color palette. Inside, it was a delicious as well as exotic cake: chocolate and passion fruit with mango comfit.

Once the catering was decided, we focused on the decorative proposal. To do this, we followed the ideas suggested by the couple and created a decoration with a modern base, flowers in warm colors, and lots of candles. The result: a romantic wedding under the candle light.

In the decorative proposal the assembly of ceremony with Tiffany type chairs, adorned with ties following the color palette, with pins of paniculata stands out. The arbor where the wedding was held had an Arab-style fountain and we decorated it with a gauze and pins with pink roses. Around the place we put trays with an arrangement of candles and lace lanterns that gave that extra chill-out touch when night fell.

We decorated the cocktail area with white lanterns around the pool and on the support tables. We assembled a table of signatures with an album with a photo collection of the couple’s pre-wedding session. Some beautiful photos took by Azaustre.

We decorated the dinner tables with a base of mirrors where a vase of white gerberas, Amaretto and Kingrested was placed on. The rest of the table decoration was completed by crystal chandeliers and candles in glasses of different colors and sizes.

We decorated the main table, only for two people, with the same flowers but with a different arrangement and we accompanied it with the letters “SR&SRA” (Mr. and Mrs). Behind the newly husband and wife’s table, the cake table completed the decoration.

Our team was responsible for the design of decoration, but the floral arrangements were in charge of La Mimosa, who also made a dreamy sunflowers bunch for Verónica.

Verónica and Gabriel’s wedding was full of details, from soap bubbles that guests threw to the newlyweds, up to the gifts that were given to the guests: tins with sunflower seeds for the girls, to grow one’s own plant and always remember the love of the couple and their wedding day, and a pair of cufflinks for men.

The bride also prepared some special gifts for their mothers, aunts and cousins. But certainly one of the most emotive moments of the wedding was when Mar dedicated her niece a few beautiful words that moved us all.

Verónica and Grabriel’s wedding was very romantic and emotive, and their love was the protagonist of an unforgettable day.

La boda de Verónica y Gabriel fue muy romántica y emotiva, y su amor fue protagonista de un día inolvidable.
