Johana & Damián’s Wedding

Date: March 2015     ·     CategoryHotel Wedding   ·    Photography: Juan Pablo Romero   ·    Place: Hotel Andalucía Center

A few months before the wedding, Johana asked us to help her with some decorative details. She was in charge of organizing the wedding from London, but she had done to perfection this complicated task. As the wedding day got closer, there were some decorative details to do, so important, that she had to delegate them to a professional Wedding Designer & Planner.

In our first talks, we agreed to take care of the hall decorative proposal, and we offered her our Wedding Designer Service. But finally we took care of some additional tasks (sweet table, logistics, music, stylistic advice, etc.) and we would also be in charge of the wedding day, so we offered her our Wedding Planner Service too.

In the previous months, we coordinated all the wedding details and the wedding day, guaranteeing that all the details on which we had collaborated worked out perfectly.

Johana and Damián’s wedding was an elegant wedding, in white and pink shades, where light and elegance predominated. A multinational wedding which joined together family members from all around the world: Colombia, United Kingdom and Spain.

Johana and Damián wanted a romantic wedding but a funny one at the same time, where there was plenty of good music and each protocol detail was cared as precisely as possible.

The result was a romantic wedding by the candlelight.

Dandelion Events’ details

The religious ceremony was held at 04:00 pm (an unusual time) because most of the guests came from the United Kingdom. The couple chose the Basílica de San Juan de Dios as their wedding church, an imposing, majestic and baroque treasure.

The bride arrived at the church accompanied by her mother, her bridesmaids and her page children in a spectacular classic car, a Daimler DS Laundaulette of Bodas y Coches.

The wedding procession, in Burgundy shades, came in in front of the bride, who walked hand by hand with her mother in her way to the altar through the Basílica corridor and showing off the Letha model of Pronovias which enhanced her figure.

After the emotive ceremony, the newlyweds were received with a rain of flower petals and soap bubbles and went away in their convertible car to take their photo story at the Alhambra. In fact, that day they were photographed as much as the monument and the result was a series of natural and nice photos. Juan Pablo Romero was in charge of the photo story of the wedding.

Johana and Damian had already ordered the search of the place when they hired us. To celebrate their wedding, they chose the Hotel Andalucia Center, which includes several areas for wedding celebrations, including a lovely terrace with views over Granada where the cocktail was served; a versatile and elegant hall where the guests enjoyed the banquet and finally a wooden hall which was perfect for the party.

The hotel was in charge of the catering and they knew how to combine perfectly a menu which included the most refreshing Latin-inspired plates, together with other popular Spanish dishes. It was the perfect combination between the origins of both the bride and the groom: Granada and Colombia, respectively.

The cake was a beautiful creation by  Tarta & Arte presented in three white layers, with pearls and Peony pink lacing, following the same wedding color palette. Inside, a delicious cake of chocolate and candied cherries.

Once the catering was decided, we focus on the decorative proposal. For this, we followed the ideas suggested by the couple and created a decoration with a classical base, flowers in whites, creams and roses tones accompanied by lots of candles. The final result was an elegant wedding by the candlelight.

The stunning and delicate flower arrangements stood up from the decorative proposal. All of them with roses, hydrangeas, orchids and paniculata. A delicate combination with a soft and romantic effect mounted on high glass vases and combined with crystal chandeliers.

Floristerías La Mimosa was in charge of all the floral decoration and also created a beautiful roses and tulips bouquet for Johana, matching to perfection her wonderful style by Alma Candelas & Estilistas.

All the bridesmaids carried their bouquets matching their dresses in Burgundy shades with Pilar Rosillo hairdressing styling; and the girls in the wedding procession wore white dresses with Burgundy lacing and paniculata crowns with small roses in these tones.

In this wedding every detail was cared, so we also prepared some elegant and personalized stationery in the same line of the decoration.Petipress was in charge of the design of the menu, the table number cards and the sitting. We presented all these in some elegant silver frames, which we distributed in a large round table at the entrance of the hall, accompanied by a large flower arrangement and a delicate signature’s book.

Johana and Damian’s wedding was a fun wedding as well as an elegant one. There was plenty of music and entertainment. During the banquet they enjoyed the performance of a belly dancer who feasted the bride and the groom and guests with an Arabic-inspired dance.

During the party, they combined the performance of an orchestra of Latin music, Latin City Orquesta, with the most current music played by Granaudio.

The party lasted until the wee hours, accompanied by a dreamy decoration and paper lanterns with lights and a delicious sweet table, also designed by Tarta & Arte.

Johana and Damian’s wedding was very romantic and emotional, with a lot of elegance and fun. An unforgettable wedding by the candlelight.
