Exposition

When I met Marta for the first time, the first thing she transmitted was that her wedding must be a party where delicious food and good music should be present. They wanted a simple wedding among friends in a rural landscape, where they could feel comfortable.

We discussed the ceremony and they were sure about they wanted something customized and outdoors, surrounded by nature. They thought about a venue like a country house (masía) where they could have exclusivity and be near Barcelona since lots of friends were coming from afar.

Marta participated very actively in the wedding. From the beginning, she told me she wanted to help with all the handmade preparations we had in mind, and so we did. Working with her was a true pleasure, and with simple materials and all putting our love in every detail we made the wedding breathe personality.

The result was a beautiful wedding in a rural landscape and with a number of handmade details which gave this chic-frenchified air the couple love so much. It was a wedding with a huge party and a very emotive one where every detail was cared.

Dandelion Events’ Details

Marta y Moisés were sure about the search of the venue. Nevertheless, we looked for more possibilities, but after visiting several spaces, we realized the first one was the venue which really fit their taste. So, the wedding was celebrated at Can Mora de Dalt. A rural (masía) hotel which allowed them to celebrate the ceremony, the cocktail, the banquet and the party in the same place.

Even though the weather was very unstable in the wedding day, we could finally have the ceremony in the garden, next to the swimming pool at the lowest level of the country house. In the upper level, in the two following terraces, we mounted a long cocktail with show cooking buffets which lasted almost two hours and a traditional installation of banquet tables was mounted in the former stables.

Sibaris was in charge of the catering. The food was a perfect combination of traditional local food and the most delightful presentation of signature cuisine. Several buffets were mounted with show cooking (rice, quail eggs, chistorra, and a ham cutter) and more than 20 different types of cold and hot appetizers were passed. Once sat at the table, a light first plate and a main course closed the feast.

But a good nuptial cake cannot be missing in a wedding. In this case, the responsible were Barcelona Cakes. In collaboration we designed a cake following the same colour palette (gray, yellow and white) with every level decorated differently and finished with a flower and a customized bride and groom handcrafted by the bride’s brother.

Once the catering was decided, we focused on the decorative proposal. And taking into account the venue was beautiful itself, we tried to make a proposal in the same rural and simple line of the masía. To do so, we hired several providers as: Garden Arque and Crimons.

For the ceremony we mounted a light structure made of iron and tulle with a number of simple and rustic pieces of furniture and a raffia carpet.. All the guests’ chairs were made of wood with a simple nude pad. In the central corridor, we also put two raffia carpets to give an even image. We decorated the trees’ entrance area with small vases and paniculata. Below the officiant’s table, we put two milk jugs with the same flowers and at the beginning of the corridor, there were two huge zinc flowerpots stands with the same flowers too. This way, we created a rural-chic ceremony.

The cocktail area was decorated with rustic pieces of furniture and low tables with centrepieces with paniculata and craspedia. The buffets were decorated creating beautiful rustic still lives which acclaimed the venue and the gastronomy.

For the hall decoration, we respected the structure to the fullest and we just added light garland and silk pompons in grey, yellow and white tones, following the wedding colour palette. The tables were decorated with stone-gray linen and the chairs with a matching loop. The plates on a wicker low plate, the list of dishes in kraft paper and the centrepiece with paniculata on a zinc base finished the rural-chic style.

The presidential table was decorated in a special way following the same floral patterns, but this time with centrepieces in different sizes governed by the customized SR&SRA letters.

As we have stated, it was a wedding full of details, from the natural raffia pay-pays given to the guests in the ceremony, through the soap bubbles bottles which were thrown to the newlyweds, to the Polaroid photo call and a seating with tailored made thank-you cards for every guest personally written by the bride and the groom.

During the banquet, there were several emotive moments like a video of the couple which was played, the surprising song which was specially written for them, the bouquet-giving to their mothers, the bride’s bouquet giving and many more.

In a wedding with so many emotive moments, a good photographer could not be forgotten. In this case Sara Lázaro was the responsible of recording all the emotive moments we experienced and leaving us some memorial pictures of a wedding which was a party among the family and friends, with lovely moments and a couple who shined with happiness.
