Annemarie and David are a lovely Irish couple that wanted to celebrate their wedding in Spain. They are in love with our country. They contacted us to be in charge of all the preparations and to advise them through the whole process.

They hired our Wedding Designer & Planner Service and after a first space proposal we organized their wedding in Marbella.

Annemarie and David wanted a charming wedding with a simple ceremony in the garden where entertaining their guests with a brilliant party, delicious food and great music was an important thing to them. Without excess but with every detail.

They wanted to celebrate the whole wedding in the same space, with all the comforts for their guests: lodging, pools, beach, golf course, sport fields… All the necessary for an unforgettable weekend celebrating their wedding.

The result was a close simple wedding in a tropical garden without ostentation but where there were a lot of emotive moments and fun in abundance until the wee hours of the morning.

Dandelion Event’s details

One of the task which took us most time was the search of the perfect space for Annemarie and David. After visiting some spaces, the couple fall in love with Hotel Don Carlos Resort & Spa in Marbella, which included everything they were looking for for their wedding.

A space with an impressive tropical garden where the ceremony was held. Liz Wilkinson, from Ceremonies in Spain, prepared a beautiful ceremony together with the couple where Annemarie and David had got engaged surrounded by their family and friends.

For the decoration, we chose a simple assembly: cover chairs and red carpet. The couple decided for not to sit and pronounced their vows standing up, facing each other, while guitar music was sounding in the background.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds came out while soap bubbles were raining over them and went to enjoy a cocktail at the hotel’s Vai Thai while they kept enjoying a live guitar music performance.

The dinner took place at the Beach Club near the pool which we decorated with lanterns and a lot of candles which made a precious effect with the lighting in pink and blue shades.

After the speeches, all the guests enjoyed a Buffet Deluxe Menu where each one chose whatever they wanted from a large variety of dishes and delicious desserts, besides live cooking.

To finish the evening, the newlyweds cut the wedding cake and inaugurated the dance with their bridesmaids and companions. After the dance, the party started, livened up by the rock band Kolted who gave an unforgettable concert.

In the decorative proposal we followed the ideas the couple had: simplicity and minimalism with fuchsia touches. For this, we kept the space as much as we could and we included some details to complement it: guests’ gifts, a spot for the signature’s book and a seating following the favorites cities’ name which the couple liked most.

We designed some simple bouquets with calla lilies for the bride and her bridesmaids. The bride’s bouquet was white and the bridesmaids’ bouquet was in fuchsia shade matching their dresses.

Table centres were also simple and elegant, some jars filled with water, white stones and white and fuchsia orchids. Virginia Florista was in charge of assembling all the floral decoration.

Photographer Jeremy Standley was in charge to catch all the day moments and did a faultless work.

An emotive and uninhibited wedding where the fun was the key point.
